After graduating from the University of California at Berkeley, Karen moved to Rome, Italy. She opened an English language book shop in Piazza di Spagna which became the largest English language book shop on the continent. After living in Europe for 20 years she moved to Jackson in 1983. She opened The Travel Consultants and managed the firm from its inception to the sale of the business. Karen and her husband, Bob, have enjoyed tremendous real estate success while also raising their four children in Jackson Hole. The Center for the Arts,
The Grand Teton Music Festival, and
The National Museum of Wildlife Art and have been a co-challenger to Old Bill’s Fun run for 20 years.
Karen is currently on the executive committee for the
Jackson Hole Library Foundation, previously, she served three terms as Chair of the
Community Foundation Board and still serves on their Investment Committee. In addition to her incredible service to the community of Jackson, Karen is an avid reader, she’s a yogini, she loves to hike Cache Creek with her dog Luna, and when she has you over for dinner at her home; requests the Pasta Alla Carbonara!
